Mochotran executives visit new director of Intrant, Milton Morrison

Santo Domingo, DR.- Executives from the Mochotran Group of Transport Companies paid a courtesy visit to the new director of the National Institute of Transit and Land Transport (Intrant), Miltón Morrizón, with whom they exchanged ideas on issues inherent to the transport sector.

During the meeting, where they updated Mr. Morrison on the issues at hand and the performance of the corridors they operate, the businessmen expressed their support for the new management of the institution, in favor of the development of transportation and mobility in the country.

The head of Intrant, while thanking the businessmen of Mochotran for their support, said that they have committed to holding a working group to find solutions to these pending issues.

He also indicated that he had expressed his interest in continuing to strengthen the transportation system in the Dominican Republic, of which they are a fundamental part to make it more efficient and modern, and to make the entire process between Mochotran and Intrant transparent.

For his part, Mr. Alfredo Pulinario Mariot, (Tito), president of Mochotran, said that the group of companies and its 155 routes or companies spread throughout the country, by offering support to Mr. Morrison, keep the institution open in order to coordinate the work to improve the development of the chaos in transportation.

“We support the continued work on the will of the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, to continue supporting runners in the country, as well as other measures that improve the quality of life of Dominicans,” said Pulinario.

In addition to Pulinario Mariot, the meeting was attended by Mr. Danny Rivera, manager of the Charles de Gaulle broker; Mr. Wilson Ogando Lebrón, manager of the Winston Churchill broker; Mr. Leonardo Torres Jacquez, financial manager; Mr. Julio Valera, lawyer of Mochotran; and Mr. Erick Pulinario, manager of Mochotran.

Mochotran operates the corridors of Winston Churchill and Charles de Gaulle avenues, in Greater Santo Domingo, for which it has received recognition from the authorities and the population for the great performance developed since its implementation by the Government.

The company, which was founded by a group of transport leaders under the umbrella of the late leader, Alfredo Pulinario (Cambita), maintains the programmatic line drawn up by him, in accordance with Law No. 63-17, on Mobility, Land Transport, Transit and Road Safety of the Dominican Republic.
