Tragic accident. A pickup truck with more than 10 occupants went off track and fell into a precipice in the jurisdiction of the Alto Inambari district, Sandia province. One person died and 10 others were seriously injured.
Witnesses said that the vehicle with license plate S1K-807, with more than 10 occupants, was traveling from the town of Quiquira. Apparently, due to the poor condition of the road, the vehicle went off track and fell into an abyss, ending up in the Inambari River.
Residents and police arrived at the scene and made strenuous efforts to rescue and transfer a total of 11 injured people to the hospital in the capital of the province of Sandia. However, due to the severity of her injuries, Maximiliana Pinto Quispe (48) died in the hospital.
The injured are: James Jacob HP (08), Laura Isabel Ester HP (15), Belarmina Paja Laura (35), Orlando Quenallata Endara (42), Emiliana Laura Calsina (58), Laori Jazmin PL (14), Delia Carmen Larico Roque (42), Erick Zair TL (10), Aydee Larico Roque and the driver who has not yet been identified.
The authorities of the National Police and the Public Ministry are carrying out investigations to clarify the causes of this terrible traffic accident.
