The theory remains that the death of the young Guajiro, which occurred in 2010, was not accidental.
News Colombia.
A hearing will be held on August 8 in the Colmenares case, after the family of the young student found dead in strange circumstances in 2010 in the El Virrey canal in Bogotá, filed an appeal, which is the last legal recourse against rulings in which a violation of a law or legal doctrine or a breach of any legal guarantee of the process can be seen.

In first and second instance rulings, issued respectively by the Tenth Court of Bogotá and the Superior Court of Bogotá, Laura Moreno and Jessy Quintero were acquitted of the case and released, as was Carlos Cárdenas. Both offices ruled that the death it was accidental.
However, the family of Luis Andrés Colmenares insists that their loved one was murdered and accuses Moreno and Quintero of allegedly having knowledge of who did it.
Today, Jaime Lombanalawyer of the Colmenares familyprovided details of what the Colmenares family is seeking in this new hearing, which will be attended by representatives of the parties involved in the process that has already lasted more than a decade of proceedings, hearings and requests.
“No one has said that Laura Moreno killed Luis Andrés Colmenares, but she knows who killed him,” The lawyer ruled on the hypothesis he is working on regarding the case that shook the country in 2010, when Luisa Andrés Colmenares attended a Halloween party in northern Bogotá with several friends, including Laura Moreno and Jessy Quintero.
Lombana confirmed, according to his hypothesis, that the crime has not prescribed and as a consequence “There has to be a line of investigation against the person who probably killed him.”
