Uruguay registered this Thursday 5,527 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 15,966 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae).
What’s more, there were 18 deaths in the last 24 hours of patients with covid-19, who were between 60 and 103 years old. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, there have been 6,838 deaths diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.
There are 43,088 active cases across the country and 153 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total active cases, 580 correspond to health personnel.
Of the 5,527 new cases, 2,529 are from Montevideo, 774 from Canelones, 259 from Colonia, 194 from Maldonado, 184 from Paysandú, 170 from Tacuarembo, 166 from San José, 156 from Florida, 135 from Cerro Largo, 126 from Lavalleja, 110 from Salto, 106 from Soriano, 104 from Durazno, 100 from Rivera, 94 from Rocha, 85 from Treinta y Tres, 83 from Artigas, 78 from Flores and 74 from Río Negro.
All departments report infected people this Thursday, and Montevideo leads in number of assets with 20,346. follow him cannelloni (6,468), Cologne (1,674), Maldonado (1,644) and Saint Joseph (1,505).
The report clarifies, in turn, that 10 previously reported positive cases were eliminated.
