More than 30 tons of garbage collected from Huaytapallana after Santiago festival

More than 30 tons of garbage were collected by the Huaytapallana Regional Conservation Area, with the support of the Provincial Municipality’s cleaning staff and the technical team of the Natural Resources and Environmental Management Department. The solid waste accumulated during the Santiago festivities following the massive visit of tourists, Andean teachers and others.

With the help of a garbage truck, they were able to transport 5 tons of garbage. Activities will continue in the coming days. Vladimir Yañez Rodríguez, manager of Natural Resources and Environmental Management, announced that this month there will also be a multi-sector clean-up campaign in coordination with the ancestral actors of the Andean worldview.
