“I believe that when he took office as minister, despite what he said in the police environment, the minister is threatening the career of my client, who is an honest officer, with an impeccable career, an efficient, effective police officer, whose sin is simply having worked in Diviac, having worked in the Special Police Team that supports Eficcop,” he said on RPP.

“Unfortunately, since February and even before he took over as head of the Cabinet of Advisors of the Ministry of the Interior, the Minister has always had the mistaken idea that my client handles all the information of all the cases, of all the fiscal files in which the special team of the Police or Diviac supports, and that is not correct. Between February and March of this year, even when the raid on the house of President Dina Boluarte took place, the Minister asked my client for information about ongoing investigations, being a citizen, as he has specified (…) He (Juan José Santiváñez) wanted to earn merits with President Dina Boluarte to become a minister and I think he has achieved it,” he emphasized.

He said that there is a complaint against his client in the National Police Inspectorate and that the sanction could be that he retires, withdrawing all his benefits as a member of the PNP.
“As is public knowledge, Diviac is weakened, a witch hunt is underway, a hunt against Diviac. The minister himself, in his own statements, in his first weeks, exposed to the media the Diviac budgets on how he would have spent the money in Diviac. It is not the only specialized unit. Why does the minister not speak publicly about Dirandro or Dircorte? Why only about Diviac? Why is he pursuing corruption in power at the highest levels of the Republic? (…) This investigation, which should have been carried out around 2020, has taken more than 420 days, the alleged infraction charged to my client is mg85, the sanction for which is retirement. I make a public complaint that in the coming weeks, my client will be out of the PNP, his rights will be violated without his benefits being recognized,” he argued.
