Junín: Judicial assistant arrested for allegedly asking for a bribe of one thousand soles

A judicial assistant was arrested for allegedly asking for a bribe of one thousand soles to help an acquaintance in the procedures of a judicial file. The man left the courthouse handcuffed and the National Police of the Anti-Corruption Directorate carried out a raid on his office.

Carlos Samaniego Castro, 47 years old, was arrested at the Comprehensive Judicial Module for Violence against Women and Members of the Family Group, located at Ferrocarril and Trujillo in Huancayo, when he apparently received a bribe of one thousand soles from an acquaintance with whom he allegedly had a friendly relationship.

The National Police of the Anti-Corruption Directorate raided his office and also his home. The assistant will remain in preliminary detention for three days while the investigations for the alleged crime of passive corruption of judicial assistants last.
