Venezuelan Embassy in Peru indefinitely suspends its services and all consular procedures

The Venezuelan Embassy in Peru announced through its social media that it is indefinitely suspending all consular procedures.

According to a statement issued by the diplomatic headquarters in ‘X’, “Appointments scheduled for passport issuance, renewal or withdrawal, visa appointments and travel documents will not be processed.”.

Regarding holders of foreign passports, consigned to the Consular Section for visa processing, they will be contacted personally for the return of their documentation.“, the text states.

Today, Tuesday, July 30, hundreds of Venezuelans formed long lines that reached the 28 de Julio avenue in Cercado de Lima.

Outside the Venezuelan embassy in Cercado de Lima, there was great uncertainty following the recent order for the immediate withdrawal of diplomats issued by the Foreign Ministry.

This decision has caused a significant influx of people seeking information about their immigration status and the processing of essential documents.
