Edmundo González urges security forces to stop repressing protests

Edmundo González reaffirmed in a post published on the social network X that Venezuelans want peace and respect for the popular will. “The truth is the path to peace.” He asks the FAN to fulfill its oath


The presidential candidate of the Unitary Platform, Edmundo González, urged the security forces and especially the National Armed Forces “to respect the will expressed on July 28 and stop the repression of peaceful demonstrations.”

“You know what happened on Sunday, fulfill your oath,” said the candidate to the security agencies and reminded that “the Constitution is above all.”

González, who claims to have the records proving him the winner of the presidential elections held on July 28, expressed solidarity with the people “in the face of their justified indignation.”

The opposition representative lamented the deaths and injuries that occurred during the protests demanding that the National Electoral Council (CNE) publish the electoral records.
