A vigil is called for in Miraflores

The political forces grouped in the Gran Polo Patriótico, together with the Chavista people who support the President of the Republic and reelected this Sunday, July 28, Nicolás Maduro, announced the call for a vigil in the vicinity of the Miraflores palace.

“…If they want to generate violence, they will find us here; they will find us ready to defend the Palace, the Revolution, the Constitution and the victory of President Nicolás Maduro, which is the victory of Chávez and our people,” said the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, who was with followers of the Bolivarian Revolution, giving some indications regarding the latest events.

Cabello insisted that they “do not want violence,” but that they will know how to defend themselves and counterattack immediately, respecting the legal system of the Republic, he stressed.

He reiterated that this extremist opposition intends to generate violence “because it knows it has been defeated, in a movie that we have already seen.”

In addition to Cabello, the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, and deputy Nicolás Maduro Guerra, among other authorities, are also present at the site.

“We have resented for so many years everything that has been done to us…but here are the people of Caracas, defending their victory alongside the Armed Forces,” said Meléndez, who stressed that it is up to them to defend peace and political stability.

Earlier, the head of the Venezuela Nuestra del Siglo XXI campaign command, Jorge Rodríguez, called on all the forces of the revolution to march in all the cities of the country, to demonstrate to the media and the entire world the people’s support for the irreversible victory of President Maduro in the elections this Sunday, July 28, where the current Head of State emerged victorious over the opposition member of the Unitary Platform, Edmundo González.
