Delegations from Junín and Ayacucho led the great Civic Military Parade for the 203rd anniversary of the country. The cultural expression of both regions was essential for the Bicentennial of the Battles of Junín and Ayacucho, which led to the independence of Peru.

In the front row were the heroes and heroines of the bicentennial, including José de la Mar, Francisco de Paula Otero, Cleofé Ramos, María Toledo, Higinia Toledo, Guillermo Miller, Alejo Martinez, Mariano Necochea and Domingo Nieto.
Dances were also present, including the Chonguinada, declared Cultural Heritage of the Nation in 2022 for being a historical testimony of the central mountain range, especially during the colonial era. There were also characters from the Tunantada such as the Argentine and Chuto.

Ayacucho showcased the emblematic Ayacuchano Carnival, declared Cultural Heritage of the Nation in 2003, led by the comparsa from the province of La Mar, who, like those from Junín, captivated the public.
