In a video posted on social media, former President Vicente Fox said that the “attack” against Venezuela has been confirmed, and that he does not accept this “fraud.”
“Today, this brutal attack against democracy and freedoms by the dictator Maduro and his henchmen is confirmed. We, as democrats, cannot accept this behavior. There has been a monumental fraud and we have to denounce it, and those of us who are in the battle have to continue until the last minute,” said the former PAN member.

He also stated that while countries have taken a position against what happened in Venezuela, neither President López Obrador nor his successor Claudia Sheinbaum have made a forceful statement on the matter.
“There is a complete and noticeable absence on the part of the president and the president-elect at this moment. They have not declared themselves, they continue to side with socialism, communism and continue to support these criminals who steal votes in actions, like in Venezuela, so history will take care of them. For our part, we are raising our voices in minutes,” he said.
Former President Felipe Calderón, meanwhile, published a video in which Venezuelans are seen tearing down a statue of former President Hugo Chávez, to which the PAN member wrote that statues of Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin and Muammar Gaddafi marked the beginning of the fall of their dictatorships.
The toppling of statues of Lenin, Stalin, Gaddafi, Ceausescu marked the beginning of the resounding fall of their dictatorships. Venezuela will not be the same from now on. #Glory to the brave people @MariaCorinaYA https://t.co/oAkNkwgZ16
