Cortizo: Escuela 2022 operation advances by 73%

The President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo, referred to the start of the school year and revealed that the “Operación Escuelas 2022” program is already 73% complete.

The president highlighted, through his Twitter account, that he received a detailed report on the work carried out by the teams in the different educational regions at the national level. “As of today, Operation Escuelas 2022 has 73.47% progress for the return of our students,” he detailed.

Cortizo assured that the logistical and operational work they are doing throughout the country is impressive, assuring that they are focused on the return to face-to-face classes taking place in a general way in all schools. “We have committed, focused teams with a clear goal: to have the schools ready for the return to face-to-face classes of 783,374 students,” he emphasized.

Regarding the start of classes, the public transport company Mi Bus highlighted that they are preparing to mobilize more than 10,000 students, this includes adjusting the operation of the buses since they currently mobilize 365,000 and 370,000 daily users, but with the return it is expected that this number increases.
