Candidates acknowledge victory of Nicolás Maduro in presidential elections

He triumph of the candidate of the Great Patriotic Pole, Nicolás Maduro, in the presidential elections with 51.20% was recognized by other candidates in the electoral contest.

The candidate for the Primero Venezuela party, José Brito, shared a video on his social network X account to send a message to the population after the issuance of the first bulletin of the National Electoral Council (CNE).

“We have received an initial report indicating that 80% of the votes have yielded a result,” he said, calling for peace for Venezuela and the population.

He also expressed “respect for those who won and also respect for those who did not win.”

For his part, the presidential candidate for the National Democratic Confederation (Conde) party, Benjamin Rausseo, stressed that Sunday was a day of civility in Venezuela, where the population voted peacefully.

“I want to thank the millions and millions who voted for the winning candidate and for the other candidates, because they all contributed with their vote to shape the destiny of our Venezuela,” he said.

He thanked his team for their work and the support of his followers, as well as the witnesses, members of the polling station, electoral officials and the Plan República.

“All of us who participated in this election submitted to the rules and the referee who governed them. What we must do now is accept and abide by the verdict of the referee, who is the one who transmits the verdict of the people. That is why I support the ruling of the CNE and congratulate the person who the referee has proclaimed as the winner,” he said.

In turn, the candidate for Democratic Action (AD), Luis Eduardo Martínez, commented that it is everyone’s obligation to respect the will of the Venezuelan people.

Through his X account, Martínez acknowledged the official results announced by the CNE “that proclaim President Nicolás Maduro reelected.”

He also stressed that nothing is more important than peace in Venezuela.

The candidate of the Great Patriotic Pole He obtained 5,150,092 votes (51.20%), followed by the opposition representative of the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD), Edmundo González, with 4,445,978 votes (44.2%) and the rest of the presidential candidates had 462,704 votes (4.6%).
