In his first speech after the National Electoral Council (CNE) proclaimed it winner of Venezuela’s presidential electionNicolás Maduro denounced that a “massive hack” was carried out on the electoral body’s transmission system.
“Venezuela suffered an attack in the night, a massive hack. We already know which country it came from. I’m not going to say it, the trace has already been left on the transmission system of the National Electoral Council. Because the ‘demons and demonesses’ did not want the official bulletin to be issued today,” he said.
He said that they know “where they did it” and that it is up to the Prosecutor’s Office to “enforce justice.”
Maduro said that his victory in the presidential elections this Sunday, July 28, constitutes a victory for peace and dignity for the Venezuelan people.
He said that, despite the attacks and sanctions of the right, fascism will never return to Venezuela.
“Fascism in Venezuela, land of Bolívar and Chávez, will not pass away today or ever. We were not born on the day of the cowards, of the lukewarm, we were born on the day when the light of the Liberator gave birth to this homeland, of bravery, of courage,” he stressed.
Maduro announced his first action
He confirmed that as his first action after his victory he will sign a decree to call for a great national dialogue of understanding for debate and new consensus with all economic, political, social and cultural sectors of the country.
He stressed that this victory is dedicated to Commander Hugo Chávez, on the occasion of the 70th birthday of the late former president.
He added that there will be an iron fist and justice against those factors that seek to generate violence and destabilization in the national territory.
The CNE proclaimed winner to Maduro with 51% of the votes.
