Never ending. A miner was shot dead in the town of La Rinconada, Ananea district, San Antonio de Putina province.
Apparently, the man was heading home when he was intercepted by the killers, who shot him at point-blank range in the Alto Huascar neighborhood.
The body was identified by his relatives as Richard Calcina Cornejo (37), a native of the Quiaca district, Sandia province, and leaves behind 3 minor children.
This bloody event occurred near the New Cemetery, exit to the community of Santa Rosa de Poquera, Alto Huáscar neighborhood, in the La Rinconada population center, Ananea district.
Police from the specialized section and the prosecutor on duty arrived at the scene and found three shell casings, evidence of which was collected for investigations.
GUARD SHOT
Also on July 28, a security agent was seriously injured after a confrontation with criminals at a mine entrance, near the place known as Triangulo, in the town of La Rinconada, in the district of Ananea.
Apparently, unknown individuals tried to enter the aforementioned mine entrance to steal gold-bearing material, however, there was reportedly a crossfire with security personnel.
After the incident, a security agent from the company “Blindados” was shot in the face. The young man was helped by his colleagues. Due to his critical condition, he was referred to the hospital in the city of Juliaca.
