Marko Cortés is arrested in Venezuela and sent to Peru

In this message he commented that “many Venezuelans” are afraid of how the elections are being conducted in that country, since he assured that there are threats to get them to support the third presidential reelection of Nicolás Maduro.

“I have spoken with many Venezuelans in recent days. Many of them are afraid, but all have enormous hope that they will succeed in defeating the dictator this Sunday. The inequality in the process is evident; in fact, there is only propaganda from the official candidate, with threats they force the opposition to declare themselves in favor of Maduro. The electoral bodies are completely controlled. They dare to disqualify the opposition candidates,” he said.

The PAN leader wished success to Venezuelans and said he hopes that the situation in Venezuela will not be repeated in Mexico. According to the PAN member, he is currently in Peru.

“I wholeheartedly wish success to Venezuela, victory to the united opposition platform Edmundo Gonzales and Maria Corina, and I hope that what they are suffering there never happens again in Mexico. I inform them that I am now safe in Lima, Peru, where I was deported by the Venezuelan authorities,” he said.
