The capital’s prosecutor’s office offered a reward of 500,000 pesos for anyone who provided information leading to the capture of ‘El Huguito’, considered one of the priority targets for arrest, as he is accused of qualified homicide and aggravated robbery.
It is believed that he took control of the Tepito Union after the capture of Roberto Moyado Esparza alias ‘El Betito’, who was sentenced to 43 years in prison for qualified homicide and attempted homicide.
‘El Huguito’ has a criminal record dating back to the age of 16, including crimes such as possession of a stolen vehicle, aggravated robbery qualified by gang and homicide.
He is also presumed to have participated in the shooting in Plaza Garibaldi on September 14, 2018, in a confrontation between the Tepito Union and the Anti-Union, resulting in the death of six people.
