The foreign ministers of eight countries requested, in a joint statement On Sunday night, guarantees were made for the full respect of the electoral results of the presidential elections, where 10 candidates are competing for the seat of Miraflores.
The foreign ministers of Argentina, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay said they are closely following the events “and we consider it essential to have guarantees that the election results will fully respect the popular will expressed by the Venezuelan people at the polls.”

The main opposition witnesses, Delsa Solórzano, Perkins Rocha and Juan Carlos Caldera, have denounced that they are not allowed to enter the main headquarters of the National Electoral Council (CNE) to observe the totaling of data. He said that they were invited to the press conference.
“I am not a journalist, I am an electoral witness for a presidential candidate before the CNE, as are Juan Carlos Caldera, Perkins Rocha and the witnesses of the other political organizations that support our candidate,” declared Solórzano from the headquarters of Vente Venezuela.
The Unitary Platform and candidate Edmundo González Urrutia rejected the attitude of the organization and asked citizens to remain in the voting centers to participate in the citizen verification.
“We call on witnesses to remain in the centres until they receive the report corresponding to the results of the polling station. We reiterate to all citizens that they have the right to participate in the verification,” said González Urrutia.
Opposition leader María Corina Machado stressed that the work of witnesses will be “vital,” while emphasizing that these hours are the “decisive” moments in an electoral process that has been worked on for years.
