Members of the National Police assigned to the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM) arrested five men accused of armed robbery at a gas station located in Bávaro, La Altagracia province.
Those arrested are: Bairon Gonzalez (a) El Negro, 20 years old; Domingo Fortuna (a) Yeuris, 33; Julio Henriquez Novas (a) El Flaco, 34; Ariel Garcia Castro (a) Papotin, of the same age; and Franklin Novas Mendez (a) Yunior, who admitted having committed the aforementioned robbery.
According to the police report, the criminals stole 227,580 pesos in cash and 43 dollars, along with two alleged criminals identified as “Miguelito” and “Chipito” (fugitives), who are being actively sought.
As for those arrested, they will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office for the corresponding legal purposes.
