The CNE reminded voters that there is no specific type of clothing required to vote at a polling station. It also did not indicate that face masks are mandatory to enter to vote.
The National Electoral Council (CNE) indicated on the night of Saturday, July 27, that there is no dress code for Venezuelans to exercise their right to vote this Sunday, July 28, so they recommend that when going to their polling station they do so in their everyday clothes.
Likewise, the CNE confirmed that the use of face masks is not mandatory to enter the polling stations and exercise their right to vote, just as the only requirement that voters need to vote is their laminated identity card, even if it is expired.
He also stressed that the polling stations will open at 6:00 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m., and will remain open as long as there are voters in line.
The electoral body therefore called on people not to fall into a “misinformation campaign” that has been spread mainly by messaging services regarding alleged requirements for voting.

The message sent by the CNE is in relation to some messages that have been spread through social networks and messaging services in which they established some guidelines for going to vote such as wearing a white shirt, sports shoes, use of face masks, among other implements.
