The State Attorney General’s Office announced that he will assume the legal defense of the State Plurinational State of Bolivia in the trial initiated by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) about extrajudicial executions and torture in the intervention of the Hotel Las Américas, in 2009.
This determination by the Attorney General’s Office comes after the IACHR rejects Bolivian government’s request for an extension for compliance with the recommendations issued in case 13,546, which is related to the events recorded at the Hotel Las Américas.
