The organization begins the statement by expressing its concern about the permanent social, political and economic crisis that the country is suffering, and recognizes that we are facing an “institutional weakening” and the degradation of the “rule of law”“.
In addition, it also refers to the “politicization of public entities” and the increase in organized crime, despite the announcements made by the Executive to implement a “Boluarte Plan”, So far there is no clear strategy to combat crime and citizen insecurity.
The constants clashes between the powers of the State and the institutions, the approval of laws that threaten democracy and the independence of powers put the future of “millions of Peruvians” at risk.
“Institutional weakening, the advance of organized crime, the systematic degradation of the rule of law, the politicization of public entities and the increase in poverty and violence affect and jeopardize the future of a dignified life for millions of Peruvians, especially girls, boys, adolescents and women,” they warn.

WomenCEO Peru calls for 4 changes for citizens
In this sense, the organization suggests four changes for Peru to improve and asks society as a whole to join this initiative and hopes that the Message from this July 28th be the beginning to start this transformation process.
The first point refers to adopting effective actions to counteract the advance of poverty and food insecurity. Guaranteeing access to quality health and education by strengthening public institutions.
In the second point they ask to stop the “targeted” laws that only serve the interests of political groups and even illegal activities. They give as an example the weakening of the Sunedu and initiatives that make it difficult to fight criminal economies.
The third point talks about the eradication of systemic violence against girls, boys, adolescents and women at a national level and with an intercultural approach.
Finally, the fourth point calls for addressing the country’s many problems with critical thinking, rejecting indifference, superficiality and lack of leadership among the authorities.
“We demand that the State Powers at their various levels, National, Regional and Municipal; the formal Business Sector that is today bringing the country forward with great effort; the Political Parties and Regional Groups; the organized Civil Society and those who directly or indirectly influence the country, transform the confrontation into unity, so that Peru shines again as it deserves,” the message continues.
