The previous day, the National Immigration Superintendency had already indicated that the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion declared the national strike inadmissible.

This Friday, July 26, Migrations issued a statement on its X account (formerly Twitter), which reads: “As a result, Immigration control operations will continue as normal at Jorge Chávez International Airport and at all immigration and border checkpoints, during the celebrations of Fiestas Patrias and subsequently”.

The institution indicated that there is a willingness to engage in dialogue to listen to the demands of the workers’ union and reach an agreement in accordance with the law and the established budgetary limits.

As is known, the Migration Union demanded the fulfillment of bonuses and benefits, and they are demanding an increase in salaries.
