Anticyclone and Saharan dust will limit rain on Friday and Saturday

Anticiclón y polvo del Sahara limitarán lluvia viernes y sábado

Santo Domingo.- The arrival of dust in the Sahara zone, plus the presence of a high pressure system (anticyclone), will reduce the possibility of rain starting this Friday, reported the Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet).

Both Saharan dust and the anticyclonic system limit cloud formation, which reduces the possibility of showers in the area.

The Meteorological Service also reported that it does not expect the formation of tropical cyclones in the Caribbean region in the next 48 hours, but urged the population to remain attentive to official information during the remainder of the Atlantic hurricane season.

The hurricane season will enter its most active phase starting on August 1, which runs from that date until the end of September.
