The former President of the Republic will not be able to leave Lima due to the criminal proceedings for the alleged crime of passive bribery, in which he is involved.
The Third National Criminal Appeals Court of Power of attorney did not authorize the displacement of the former president Martin Vizcarra Cornejo to the city of Moqueguafrom today, July 25th to July 29th. With this decision, it supports the resolution issued by the Fifth Preparatory Investigation Court.
“The Court determined that the first instance ruling does not violate the fundamental right to the free development of personality or family privacy,” the Judiciary said through its X account (formerly Twitter).
He argued that the request for travel authorization was not supported by “well-founded and unavoidable reasons to relax the rule of conduct that prohibits the former president from leaving Lima.”

Martín Vizcarra will face oral trial on July 28
