Once again, mining cooperatives clashed in a community in the municipality of Sorata, department of La Paz, and this time Two people were injured.
One of the sectors in conflict is the Señor de Mayo Cooperative, whose members arrived at the La Paz Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday to demand justice.
The protesters reported that on Tuesday night a tear gas attack began inside a sinkhole and that on Wednesday morning the violence worsened with an armed attack.
The departmental commander of the Police in La Paz, Edgar Cortez, confirmed that “two people were injured as a result of this confrontation.”

While the second injured person has a perforating injury to the right shoulder blade, Cortez said.
He added that a police contingent was sent to the conflict zone to restore calm and recalled that this is not the first time that this type of confrontation has occurred in this area.
