Alberto Fernández's oversight is not accepted

Former Argentine President Alberto Fernández announced that he was denied participation as an international observer in the upcoming elections on July 28, because his recent statements, in which he expressed support for one of the options, “raised doubts” about his impartiality.

“Given the unusual demand, I thought it appropriate not to travel and not give rise to accusations of wanting to cloud a crucial election day, when I was only seeking to fulfill the task of an election observer,” Fernández said in a message on his X account.

The former Argentine president expressed that his greatest wish for Venezuela is that “it can hold its elections in a transparent manner and that the popular verdict is respected, whatever the result.”

He also recalled that the country in these years “was besieged by threats of invasion and its economy was damaged by a brutal blockade.”
