The Aval Acciones y Valores Group announced the creation of two new Corporate Vice-Presidencies.
The decision was adopted at its session on Wednesday, July 23. by the Board of Directors of Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores.

According to the information provided to the Financial Superintendency, the creation of the Corporate Vice Presidency of Sustainability and Strategic Projects, which will be led by Paula Durán Fernández, and the Corporate Vice Presidency of Financial Assets and Efficiency, led by Jorge Castaño Gutiérrez, was approved.
At the moment, Paula Durán is Vice President Director of Strategy and Sustainability at Corficolombiana. She holds an MBA and is a Business Administrator from the Universidad de los Andes and an Economist from the University of W. Sydney, with more than 20 years of experience in the public and private sectors.
Jorge Castaño has more than 20 years of experience in the public and private sectors and as a consultant in the financial industry in business, development and transformation of financial systems.
He is a lawyer from the Externado University of Colombia, with a specialization in Financial and Stock Market Law from the same university, and a Master’s Degree in Economic Development from the Carlos III University. from Madrid.
It should be remembered that three months ago there was talk in the markets that Castaño, after a year of leaving office, was authorized to assume positions in the financial system and in that sense it was said that he would assume the presidency of Corficolombiana, after María Lorena Gutiérrez took over the presidency of Grupo Aval.
However, this remained just a rumor, as Milena López, an economist from Harvard University with an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School, was appointed president of Corficolombiana.
