Hato Mayor, DR.- Residents on La Toronja Street and other adjacent streets in the La China sector, north of Hato Mayor del Rey, reported this Wednesday that they have been Five days without power supply because the transformer that supplies service to the area was damaged.

In this regard, they asked the Eastern Electricity Distribution Company (EdeEste) assume responsibility for the situation, correcting it immediately without waiting another day.

They said that they reported the problem to the institution last Sunday, but that The technicians have only gone to observe the problem without any solution.

“They are very strict when it comes to payment day, if you don’t pay immediately they cut off your power, but this situation has been going on for four days and let’s see if they have been able to resolve it,” said Mrs. Maritza Cueto, indignant, who added that due to the lack of electricity everything in the fridge was damaged.

The inhabitants of the populous sector called on the director of EdeEste, engineer Manuel Naut Mejía to order the transformer replacement as soon as possible, otherwise they will have to hold demonstrations so that their voices are heard.

They took the opportunity to ask the management of EdeEste that provides another transformer to the Los Polanco sector, next to La China, since, according to what they say, both sectors They feed off of a single team, which produces the overload that ends up exploding it.
