Ángel Junquera Sepúlveda, former lawyer for the Cruz Azul Cooperative, requested the protection of the federal justice system and a determination of whether there is an investigation file against him initiated by federal authorities.
Junquera Sepúlveda became a collaborating witness in the fraud trial against the former president of the Cruz Azul club Guillermo Billy Álvarez Cuevas, who is a fugitive from justice.
According to the records of the list of agreements of the Federal Judiciary Council (CJF), Junquera Sepúlveda records ministerial actions in three amparo trials, all of them processed in the ninth district court on amparo matters based in Mexico City.
In one of them, registered under the heading 927/2023, he requests the protection of the federal justice system against the actions of the agent of the Federal Public Ministry, head of the investigation cell 4 of the Specialized Unit for the Investigation of Operations with Illicit Proceeds and Counterfeiting or Alteration of Currency of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic.
In trial 527/2024, he requests that he be given protection regarding the investigations carried out by the head of the Special Prosecutor’s Office for the Investigation of Tax Crimes and the Financial System of the FGR.
And the third amparo trial, identified with the number 557/2024, is against the investigations carried out by the agent of the Federal Public Ministry of the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Investigation and Litigation of Complex Cases of the FGR.
