Guerrero, the eighth most violent state
The state governed by Morena member Evelyn Salgado is the eighth most violent state in the country due to the number of homicides it records: an average of four violent deaths per day.
Between January and June, 845 intentional homicides have been recorded in Guerrero, representing 5.5% of all homicides in the country.
Together with Guanajuato, Baja California, the State of Mexico, Chihuahua, Jalisco, Morelos and Michoacán, they account for 9,952 homicides (65%), which occurred in the first half of the year.
A constant criticism of the governor is her silence in the face of the violence affecting the state.

The violence affecting Guerrero is due to the fact that the state faces confrontations between around 16 criminal organizations, including Los Tlacos, Los Ardillos, Los Rojos, Los Tequileros, La familia michoacana, as well as the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel and the Sinaloa Cartel.
