Tomorrow, the Permanent Commission of Congress will ratify the appointment of 25 magistrates of regional chambers of the Federal Administrative Court (TFJA), after yesterday, in commissions, the suitability of the profiles designated by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador was approved.

During the session of the First Commission of Government, Constitutional Points and Justice, the PAN representation abstained from voting with the argument that there are at least 10 officials of the current government on the list and that translates into a propensity for the regime.

The initial list sent by the Executive included 28 judges, but the ruling specifies that three decided to decline: Jazmín Aquino Cruz, director of Digital Strategy in the Presidency; Miguel Ángel Chico Herrera, former official of the Interior Ministry, and the lawyer Pedro Zavala Pérez.

In this way, the commission only endorsed the suitability of the rest of the appointees, and in response to a direct question from Senator Beatriz Paredes Rangel (PRI) about the procedure, the president of the commission, Deputy Navor Alberto Rojas (Morena), specified that the opinion – approved with 11 votes in favor and two abstentions – will be sent to the Permanent Board of Directors for the plenary to give its approval.

The commission, he said, only declares the suitability and On Wednesday, if the vote in the plenary is like this, the 25 will be magistrates and the court will determine which chambers to assign them to.

There are those close to the regime

PAN Senator Kenia López said that on the list There are extraordinary, recognized profiles, with a long track record in public service; unfortunately, some do not meet the track record and, given their curriculum, clearly demonstrate a tendency to be close to the regime..

Federal government officials include María Orley Ortiz Ley, legal advisor to the Secretary of the Navy; Beatriz Salgado Hernández, director of Legal Affairs of the National Institute for Adult Education; Berenice Martínez Mejía, head of the Legal Expenditure Unit of the Ministry of Finance; Bricio Fernando Nava Aguilar, general director of Coordination with Federative Entities Zone 1, of the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection.

There are also members of the Treasury, such as Rodolfo Martínez Dagnino, Manuel Eduardo Mendoza, Marco Antonio Escobar Cuapio and Lawrence Salomé Flores Ayvar, and even Susana Mercado, an advisor to the Morena caucus in the Chamber of Deputies.
