The block of aldermen Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) before the City Council of Santiago described as indolent the fact that the mayor Abel Martinez refuses to arrange the collection of solid waste in the different hospitals of the municipality.
Pedro Gómez and Frank Medina, during a press conference at the PRM premises in Santiago, stated that they toured the different public hospitals in the municipality where they confirmed that the council is not carrying out garbage collection.
“Not arranging for the collection of solid waste in the Public hospitals of the municipality goes against the welfare of the citizens who come to these centers in search of health”, they pointed out.
PRM councilors indicated that the actions of the municipal mayor show their indolence for the health of citizens.
The PRM leaders were also emphatic in pointing out that the mayor’s attitude also shows the reality of the different neighborhoods and sectors that make up the municipality of Santiago.
Recently, the director of the José María Cabral y Báez Regional Hospital, Bernardo Hilario, denounced that the Mayor’s Office is not collecting hospital waste from that center, which, in his opinion, is a low blow to the citizens who come to that health center.
