A patrol kills a former agent in Moca

EspaillatA former agent was killed by a National Police patrol during an alleged exchange of gunfire in the municipality of Moca, Espaillat province.

Authorities identified Edison Joel Castillo Avelino, 30, a native of Santo Domingo Este, as the man shot dead by law enforcement officers.

According to reports, Castillo Avelino had been separated from the police ranks for some time.

In another order, the National Police is investigating the discovery of the body of a woman who has not yet been identified, near the Metropolitan Office of Bus Services OMSA.

The cause of death is unknown, although it is being investigated whether criminals were involved, as the body was found covered with cardboard and in a state of decomposition. The body was sent to the Inacif.
