Bonado, DR.- Vice President Raquel Peña and the Minister of Public Works, Deligne Ascención inaugurated the paving of the streets of the communities Palmarito, Juan Adrián and Arroyo Toro-Masipedro, in the province of Monseñor Nouel, with an investment of more than 300 million pesos.
After cutting the ribbon, the Vice President congratulated Minister Ascención for the work he has been doing at the head of the institution.
For his part, when delivering the central speech, the minister highlighted that works like these and others that the president Luis Abinader has delivered and will deliver are those that determine that work is being done in favor of the various communities.
“Today we feel proud and satisfied to inaugurate more than 5.2 kilometers of the internal streets of Palmarito, where a hard-working community of men and women lives who deserve a neighborhood with paved streets, with sidewalks and curbs, properly signposted and safe, to guarantee a dignified and pleasant life for all these Dominican families,” he said.
She said that the housewives of the communities benefiting from this event can say that the change promised by President Abinader has reached their homes.
“They will no longer have to struggle every day to remove dust and mud from their homes and their children will be able to walk on the sidewalks without fear of being run over by a vehicle.”
The streets of the Palmarito sector, located right on the edge of the Duarte Highway, They cost more than 150 million pesos and include sidewalks and curbs, horizontal and vertical signage.
In the Juan Adrián municipal district, located right on the edge of the road that leads from Piedra Blanca to Rancho Arriba, province of San José de Ocoa, Ascención explained that the works consist of paving 7 kilometers of internal streets of this town, with a width of 5.3 meters, sidewalks, curbs, gutters for rain runoff, as well as the placement of base and sub-base to guarantee the durability of the structures and stability of the work carried out.
“All these streets have been built with a budget of more than 49 million pesos, and the works have been carried out by the construction company Moll in a period of four years,” he added.
These works directly impact more than 3,500 inhabitants who make up this agricultural and livestock community of humble and hard-working families.
Arroyo Toro-Masipedro, the 2.3 kilometer highway was delivered.
“This project was built by the firm Guzmán Rodríguez y Asociados, with an execution budget of more than 107 million pesos, contracted through a transparent process and developed in a record time of 5 months since its start in February of this year,” he said.
