In a new accusation from the Controlled Substances Prosecutor’s Office, a document to which EL DEBER had access, the Special Force to Fight Drug Trafficking (Felcn) certified that the Uruguayan Sebastian Marset Cabreraconsidered one of the most wanted characters internationally, has no record of drug trafficking in our country.
The accusation against Marset for crime of money launderingbased on investigations by the Prosecutor’s Office and the Felcn, was submitted on June 27 to the jurisdictional control of the anti-corruption judge Primo Flores. The Prosecutor’s Office for controlled substances, with the signature of prosecutor José Luis Flores Camiño, asks the judge to seize all of Marset’s assets and detain him in the Palmasola prison in Santa Cruz for 120 days.
Following the presentation of the charges, anti-corruption judge Primo Flores has already set a hearing for the 24th of this month.
Social profile without criminal record
In order to carry out the process for money laundering, the Substance Prosecutor’s Office required the Felcn to review all its records and issue a certification answering whether Sebastián Marset Cabrera has a criminal record or not.
On page 13 of the document with the charge and labeled Police Records, the Felcn certifies the following: “The Special Force to Fight Drug Trafficking, based on the Registry and Archive Section of the Felcn Departmental Headquarters, certifies that Sebastián Marset Cabrera with ID 11268024 SC has no records related to Law 1008 in Bolivia. Likewise the false names of Gabriel de Souza Beumer and Luis Paulo Amorín Santos.”
The National Directorate of Auxiliary Technical Services indicates that, after reviewing the files in the National Police Records System (Sinarap), Sebastián Marset Cabrera with identity card 11268024 has no police record in Felcc, Felcv and Diprove, Transit. Nor with the false names of Gabriel de Souza Beumer and Luis Paulo Amorín Santos.
On October 11, 2023, Diprove reported that Sebastián Marset has a record in the central file database and with Red notice for drug trafficking requested by Paraguay. He also has a blue notification for legitimation, requested by Bolivia. Despite this notification, the Felcn certifies that Marset has no criminal record for drug trafficking.
On Uruguayan TV
Marset sent an audio to the Uruguayan television program Santo y Seña. The most wanted man He defended his wife’s innocencethreatened judges and prosecutors. He claimed that his partner turned herself in to the police to “fix her situation” and downplayed the work of the police. He said that members of the judicial system deserve jail time for making false accusations in the case.
