The president of the 2020 National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, reported that the “takeover of Greater Caracas” will take place on Thursday, July 25 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
This Saturday, July 20, the head of the “Venezuela Nuestra” command, Jorge Rodríguez, announced a major mobilization for the closing of the campaign of the candidate for reelection, Nicolás Maduro.
This activity is scheduled for Thursday, July 25 and will consist of a “Takeover of Greater Caracas” that will take place from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Rodríguez anticipated that millions of people will participate, distributed throughout the different localities of the capital, including Petare, Baruta, El Hatillo and Libertador. The goal is to achieve a vast concentration that spans from Petare to Catia.
Rodriguez said that this campaign closing will be an impressive event and assures that there will be mass closings in all states before Thursday. He also underlined the importance of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) in ensuring that no point is left unattended in the electoral machinery.
Rodríguez reaffirmed his commitment to defend “in the streets” what he considers his victory and denounced an alleged plot by the international media to ignore the election results. He highlighted the intense political mobilization in favor of Nicolas Maduro, with an emphasis on popular participation and a clear strategy to confront the opposition and possible questions about the electoral process.
