Maduro exalts socialist feminism as the path to a new society

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, affirmed that socialist feminism is the correct path for a new society based on values of equality and solidarity.

The head of state made the statement during a work day with the women of the country, accompanied by the women of the Executive branch and the first combatant Cilia Flores, where he stressed that “a mission given to a woman is a mission that will surely be fulfilled, because they do everything with love.”

“That is why 21st century socialist feminism is the right path of values for a new society based on love, equality and solidarity,” she said.

During his speech, Maduro recalled that he was born in a home with four women, referring to his mother and sisters, and so he grew up in an environment full of love because it was “a home of women, full of true, deep feelings.”

“So I grew up loving and respecting women, because women should be loved and respected,” she said.

This first contact between Maduro and the women in his family led him to create the psychological, emotional, moral and spiritual foundation for what he would later discover in life: feminism.

“Above all, Venezuelan and socialist feminism is the highest expression of respect and equality between men and women, but above all, the highest expression of protective love towards women, protective love so that women can develop all their strength and intelligence,” she said.

Misogynistic far right

On the contrary, President Maduro emphasized that socialist feminism is the opposite of the anti-values of the misogynistic far right, because “they despise women, they vilify women, they speak ill of women.”

“In recent days, the demons of the extreme right have been unleashed, seriously insulting Venezuelan women (…) This is how they think of humble women, because they envy Bolivarian women, patriotic women,” she reproached.

The Bolivarian leader emphasized that the “demoniac and envious woman will never be able to be like the brave woman who resisted all of your criminal attacks. You will never be able to come close to the values of the spokeswomen of the Communal Council.”

Great Venezuela Women’s Mission

Referring to the Great Venezuela Women Mission, the Head of State stressed that important steps have been taken to consolidate it. “In record time since we founded the great Venezuela Women mission, which was born as a great act of love, 6,591,774 women have already been served,” he stressed.

He explained that in terms of health, “2 million 301 thousand 381 women have already been assisted during the Great Mission in cases of preventive and curative health, care for pregnant women with the humanized birth plan.”

She also reported that all the latest generation equipment is in the country to install 26 comprehensive women’s care units in the coming days, throughout the country with the highest technological and scientific quality.
