Chelsea’s Argentine midfielder could be banned from driving: he allegedly crossed a red light and refused to give police information about his identity
Just days after being in the spotlight as a result of some chants considered xenophobic that he uttered (after the Copa America final) along with other international players from the Argentine national team against the French team, Enzo Fernandez He is once again in trouble. This time in England, where he could lose his driving licence.
The midfielder is alleged to have driven a Porsche Cayenne through a red light on Church Street in Llanelli on 28 November 2023, according to the BBC. Almost a month later, on 27 December, he was charged with failing to provide information about his identity to Dyfed-Powys Police. Llaneli Magistrates’ Court found him guilty in absentia and will hand down his sentence on 11 September. According to The Sun, he faces having his driving licence revoked.
