It is estimated that more than 146,000 retirees and pensioners over 65 years of age, who receive a minimum income, were affected by the government’s decision to absorb the differential increase in June in the final increase in January.

The Executive decided to include in the calculation for the increase in liabilities in January the differential adjustment of July 2021 of the minimum liabilities, which was 243.5 pesos.

In other words, instead of taking as a base the 15,097 pesos that the liabilities received until December, the figure for June (14,854 pesos) was taken.

Within this framework, the ONAJPU held a rally this Wednesday, February 16, in front of the Executive Tower and then delivered a letter addressed to the President of the Republic in which they request an interview and raise their questions about the government’s decision to discount the increase. of July of the minimum pensions of the January adjustment.
