Faced with a wave of attacks, Sheinbaum calls to defend the 4T

The head of the Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum, affirmed that the attacks on President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and his children are not actually against them, but against the transformation project, since there are groups that were affected in their economic benefits. crimes or the power they had over the president to make decisions.

It is what bothers them, that they no longer own Mexicohe expressed, pointing out that there are many businessmen who have been able to participate in the transformation process, but there are others who refuse and are allied with the country’s conservative groups.

After showing solidarity with the President and his family, Sheinbaum affirmed that for this reason the defense of the project is important, because what changed in the country in 2018 is not only a new model, in which it is no longer merchandise and money that move Mexico, but a welfare state and honest management of public finances.

He affirmed that this group of businessmen and the conservatives are bothered by the fact that the people decide, because they were used to electoral fraud, vote buying and that is no longer working for them.

He argued that private initiative is fundamental, but it has to learn that the national economy has to be based on honesty and that is what is ultimately at stake.

So, he added, they personally attack when, in reality, what they don’t like is the new way of governing, and that is what I think everyone should keep in mind.

He commented that unlike other six-year terms, when reporters were withdrawn from information sources or even financial support when a politician became uncomfortable, now there is freedom of expression, but not ask that the other side not be able to talk, because that is democracy.

He considered that for the good of Mexico the debate should be opened, but based on the truth. And what is in the background: the discussion about the national project, the economic project, democracy and not slander; that yes, I think, that it is reprehensible, wherever it comes from.
