FANB will ensure that the people express themselves freely and peacefully on June 28

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) will ensure that the people can express themselves freely and peacefully on June 28, according to the Vice President of Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace and Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, in a post on the X network.

“We are very pleased because there is a nice and enthusiastic electoral atmosphere,” said the head of the Ministry of Defense, while recalling that the Armed Forces will accompany the Venezuelan people throughout the entire voting process.

“We will guarantee the order and security of all voters from the moment they leave their homes in profound peace (…) in a civic action,” he said.

Padrino López reiterated that Venezuelan democracy is intact, because this time, with a new election, it will be reaffirmed that the people will come out this coming June 28, “with all their emotional strength and their soul to express their thoughts that will define the coming years” of Venezuela.

Venezuela will hold its 31st election since the arrival of the Revolution on July 28, and this time there will be 10 contenders, nine of them representing the opposition and the revolutionary Nicolás Maduro, out of the 13 registered with the CNE.

It should be noted that 21,392,464 citizens are called to vote for June 28. The candidates represent 37 political parties and movements, of which 24 represent the right and 13 the current president.

The official campaign celebrations for the various candidates will take place from July 4 to 25.
