The deputy of the Citizen Community, Alberto Astorga, reported that Omar Carlos MP, an official of the Chamber of Deputies, has been arrested by the Special Force to Fight Violence (FELCV) accused of the crime of rape of an official of that same agency.
“It is evident that Israel Huaytari (the president of the Lower House) and his entire team have turned the Chamber of Deputies into a paradise for criminals.“Initially implicated in acts of illicit enrichment, later its officials involved in bribes and now its director implicated in this criminal act,” the legislator said to the media.
That is why Astorga demanded that “Israel Huaytari “Step aside and resign from the presidency of the Chamber of Deputies along with your entire clan, which is making the highest power of the State look bad.”
This request is added to the one made earlier by the deputy Luciana Campero, also from Comunidad Ciudadana, whowho asked the head of the Chamber of Deputies to resign.
Senator Cecilia Requena also referred to the issue, with a publication on X: ” RESIGN! The news linked to #Huaytari, President of Deputies, is disgusting. About the rape case
According to the complaint filed with the Police and already known to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, The incident reportedly occurred on the night of Thursday the 18th, while drinking alcoholic beverages.
