The Cochabamba Prosecutor’s Office filed the charges against the three arrested for murdering a man and engage in a shootout with troops of the Mobile Rural Patrol Unit (Umopar), which accuses them of four crimes and requests that they be detained in jail.

The Minister of Government, Eduardo Del Castillo, reported that those arrested were identified as: Milton Orellana Gutiérrez, Alberto Roger Chusgo and Yhon Céspedes Mamani, who firearms were seized from him.

The shooting took place on Wednesday, July 18, during an operation against drug trafficking, in the Nueva América union, in the town of Isinuta, which belongs to the Cochabamba municipality of Villa Tunari.

The Cochabamba Prosecutor’s Office charged the three detainees for the crimes of murder, criminal association, destruction of state property and illegal possession, carrying or carrying of a firearm.

In the document presented before a precautionary judge of Villa Tunari, the Prosecutor’s Office calls for those involved to be detained in prison. The preliminary hearing will take place this Saturday, July 20.
