Before locals and strangers, Patronato went to look for River and fulfilled that of “changing the image”, in the words of his coach, after the defeat against Argentinos.

Patronato insisted on the frontal attack and River found some spaces. Enzo Fernández raised his level and the local found the right side of the visiting defense vulnerable.

Later, The tie came with a pass from Andrés Herrera, from a correct match, for Álvarez. The young striker lowered it and defined a header. Shortly after, the forward of the Argentine team shot Mansilla lying on the right for 2-1.
River brought out a difficult game until then and Álvarez’s effectiveness reappeared at the right time. He was much more like the 2021 Professional League champion River.
Patronato continued with the pressure in attack in the second half and was close to equalizing with Enzo Pérez’s error at the start. Gudiño took a strong shot that Franco Armani deflected for a corner.
A mistake shared between Fabio Vázquez and Carlos Quintana made River’s third possible. Tomás Pochettino anticipated and assisted the scorer of the night for 3-1. Ovation and relief in the Monumental.
