Venezuelan state intelligence services have detected that small fascist units are trying to create hotbeds of violence and claim fraud on June 28 after eight o’clock at night, as warned by Freddy Bernal, governor of Táchira, during the swearing-in ceremony of the Popular Units for Peace, UPPAZ.
“They intend to attack mayors’ offices and governorships as they did once, on April 11, 2002.”
The world should know that sectors of the Venezuelan far right have always been allied with violent extremist groups in Colombia, Bernal said.
A few days before July 28, the date on which the presidential elections will be held, Bernal said that, “We are guarantors of life and peace.”
With the slogan: “What is still, is left still,” the regional leader recalled violent events from 2002 to 2019, provoked by opposition groups: “they burned institutions and attacked people,” Bernal said.
More than 700 international observers from 91 countries have been invited by the CNE for this June 28.
We have no doubt in the victory
“We have been working, and continue to do so, to guarantee an electoral victory. We have no doubt that President Nicolás Maduro will triumph.”
Bernal said that this projection is based on the strategy that has been developed. “We have no doubt that Nicolás Maduro will win. We have not left this to chance or providence. Elections are science and the PSUV together with the GPP has the strength, the structure and the scientific method to achieve victory with 1x10x7. We have numbers that far exceed the previous numbers. And with all the analysis, it guarantees a comfortable victory for President Maduro, against any other candidate.”
The General Staff for Peace was created
The General Staff for Peace promotes support for citizens in maintaining urban stability without street disorders, “the work is based on observation and participation hand in hand with the communities.”
He urged the volunteers who are members of the Popular Units for Peace, “to be guarantors of the constitutional regulations and to monitor the 29 municipalities so that peace prevails, before, during and after the electoral process.”
The 1,200 members who represent the value of work oriented towards peace, swore to practice a civic, representative and very vigilant exercise of healthy coexistence without violence.
Bernal considered the support of the men and women who make up the Peace Units to be important. “We are committed to the daily tranquility of the citizens and we do not want violence.”
We are not willing to allow violence, hatred, or threats to return. “The first person who calls for riots, lifts a manhole, or generates violence, we will put him in jail and he will be at the mercy of justice.”
Guarantee of Peace
The only one who guarantees peace, tranquility and prosperity is President Nicolás Maduro, as reiterated by the highest civil authority in the state, Freddy Bernal.
The economic sectors are not taking leaps into the void. Decent people, good people, I have already reflected, “are not going to bet on destabilization, there is no possibility that fascism will win on June 28,” Bernal said.
