PISA 2025 pilot test to be held in Mexico in October, SEP reports

According to the association, the SEP explained that the National Center for Evaluation of Higher Education (Ceneval) will coordinate the work to carry out the pilot and definitive tests in the country.

This organization has proposed a work program for Mexico’s participation in PISA 2025, which includes the pilot, student sampling, and the preparation of materials, reagents, and application manuals for the exam, explained Miguel Ángel Ortiz, a constitutional lawyer for the organization.

For her part, Paulina Amozurrutia, national coordinator of Education with Direction, stated that the implementation of the PISA Test will contribute with data to define the public policies in educational matters of the next administration.

She also urged Mario Delgado, the next Secretary of Education in Claudia Sheinbaum’s government, to work with civil society and specialists in the field in the design of the 2024-2030 Education Sector Program.
