A 51-year-old man was arrested as a precautionary measure by Polisucre agents after being accused of having killed his sister using a knife, according to police sources.
The detainee is identified as Francisco Hipólita González Sastre (57), while his sister was María Magdalena González Sastre, a 58-year-old lawyer. Both had an argument inside an apartment they shared located on 2-4 street, Los Espejos building, La Urbina, Sucre municipality (Miranda).
Neighbors reported the incident on Sunday night and Polisucre agents secured the scene. Later, a CICPC commission arrived at the building and removed the body that was on the floor with several stab wounds.
Preliminary reports indicate that Francisco and María Magdalena argued, at which point the man attacked his sister with the weapon at the level of her neck and other parts of her body.
The Polisucre agents who originally went to protect the site detained the alleged murderer and locked him up in the Coliseo Police Coordination Center, from where hours later Cicpc officials went to look for him to begin the investigations.
