A fire in Tunari Park reaches the forested area

A fire reported this morning at the Tunari National Park, in the Wara Wara area, reached a forest area. According to information provided by the Tunari Sin Fuego Platform, the fire has reached canopy areas in the forested region of the park.

SAR-Bolivia volunteers and other first responders are on site working to control the flames. In addition, more equipment is being sent to support the efforts to extinguish the fire.

So far, SAR-Bolivia volunteers have not given any further statements on the damage and repercussions of the fire. More information is expected in the coming hours.
